This is how I like to believe we are all the time.
Sitting on a settee in the front yard,
children well groomed and calmly laughing at their parents' witty repartee.
I'm a stay at home mom who is passionate about her husband, kids, God, writing, and comfortable shoes. (Not necessarily in that order.) In my fantasy, I'm thin, wearing a fabulous strapless dress, in a house cleaned by maids, and my children are well dressed and obedient. In reality, I've been known to smell a shirt to see if it is clean enough to wear and often have no idea where my kids even are. But in Elizabethtown, I'm homecoming queen, best all around, most likely to succeed, mayor, and most importantly ALWAYS WRITE.
This is how we really are.
Falling down, laughing so hard we pee in our pants and almost killing one of the kids.
